Author’s Note:
Before we start, I want to clarify that this book is meant to be a quick educational resource. No matter where you stand politically, how educated you are about how our political system works, or how invested you are in learning about politics, the goal is to provide something meaningful and interesting to you. I want you to learn what you can without the pressure of digesting all of it. There may be parts of this book that aren’t relevant or are uninteresting to you. If and when that happens, skip that part. Do it guilt-free, as though you were scrolling past a video on social media. You do not have to read this book in its entirety.
That being said, this book contains very few political opinions. Instead, it explains verified facts and data. This book was created so that you can challenge your own beliefs as well as those you disagree with, and hopefully, everyone can learn something from it. After all, I certainly learned a lot from compiling all this data.
Writing nonfiction was never on my to-do list, but this is not an ordinary nonfiction book. This book is primarily intended for those who want to learn more about politics but want something easy to digest yet more substantial than three-minute lessons on TikTok.
As a result, it’s written like my TikTok videos.
Consider this your own personal FYP. Scroll when you want and re-read when you want. Nobody is going to ask you to take a test. (They better not, anyway!) Just learn what you’d like to learn and skip what you don’t.
This solely exists so that you can have a broader picture of the data I typically present in my videos, and you can be more confident when you vote in this coming election.
This will be in the same style as always. I’ll be responding to claims from commenters, some genuine, some not so much. Like my TikTok channel, this book explores common talking points the average person makes and shows how they hold up in real life with actual data.
Alright… now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to it.
